National Kidney Foundation (NKF)

This National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is a fund raising event organised by Asian Medical Students' Association - International Medical University (AMSA-IMU).

This fund raising event held from 26th to 29th November 2012. I myself had contribute in this event on 26th and 27th November 2012. Here is some information from the AMSA-IMU:
NKF is a charitable organization where dialysis is provided. NKF’s patients are generally from the lower income group and these patients often could not afford dialysis treatments at private medical facilities which usually charge RM150 to RM250 for each dialysis sessions. NKF helps by subsidising the cost of the patients’ dialysis treatments, so that they are only required to pay a RM50 nominal fee per dialysis session.

A booth was set up for charity sales and I was involving in the charity selling as well. The things that they were selling were coin box, badges, landyards, magnets, food and other. There are also leaflets about kidney and health for the students and staffs. Besides that, there were 2 donation boxes for them to donate. EVERY SINGLE CENT SPENT WILL BE ENTIRELY DONATION!!
